Wow - it's been a long time since I've posted. It was difficult spring! I think I'm finally getting my mojo back. I had some health issues and needed to have a hysterectomy. The good news is that I'm fine - so much better now. I can't believe that I continued to train, ran 3 races (including the 1/2), worked without missing a beat and kept it all together while I dealt with it all. I feel fantastic, a little tired, but fantastic. I want to say that I know I will never place 1st, 2nd, or 10th in my age group, but running has been so beneficial in so many ways. The surgery was a piece of cake - the only thing I can say is that it must have been because I have been in the best shape ever that made my recovery so easy. So even though I sure don't look like a runner, inside I feel like one and it has made all the difference! So don't think that just because your not making gains, you really are. And when life throws a little curve your way, by keeping in shape with regular strenuous exercise, you'll be better prepared to deal with life's little surprises. RUN and KEEP RUNNING - it really is one of the best things you can do for yourself!

HMP
The Half Marathon Program starts today - kind of...........we are meeting at 8 for a pre-run this morning. We are scheduled for a 5 mile run, those doing the full program are doing 7.
Going to dress shortly, got a quick shower (why?) and enjoying my morning coffee. Fed the dog, threw a load of laundry in the dryer and re-read the slow cooker receipe (sp? - it's too early) that I intend to make when I get back home.
A little nervous, this is a new journey. Hoping my body (and especially my knees) hold up. Will I be able to do it? I guess I won't know if I can until I try :) It's worth a shot, it's worth a lot more than that.
